The Academy sits at the heart of the Harpurhey and North Manchester community as a true community facility. The Manchester Communication Academy is working closely with organisations, groups and members of the local community to ensure everyone benefits from the resources, facilities and opportunities that the new Academy will provide.
People’s Voice Media is a not for profit community development organisation based in Manchester. Through its ground breaking Community Reporters’ Programme it uses social media to give people a voice, and to get communities talking to each other.
The City Learning Centre at Abraham Moss has supported the development of the Community Reporters’ Programme and is working closely with the Academy on the introduction of innovative technology within the school, to learning.
The Manchester Communication Academy is currently working with the Youth Activity Group to develop the Academy’s sport and leisure facilities for use by the group in providing activities for young people across North Manchester.
Manchester Communication Academy is working with Northwards Housing to support its community involvement programme, in particular its scheme for Junior Wardens. The shared values and objectives for both will ensure the continued success of the relationship.
The BLOODHOUND SSC engineering adventure provides us with a once in a lifetime opportunity to inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers. To achieve this ambitious goal, the BLOODHOUND Education Programme will be made available to all pupils in primary and secondary schools, and to students in further and higher education.
