Alex Reed, Claire Aldred, Nichola Woods and Natalie Hewitt have all gained grade 1 ‘outstanding’ for their teaching ability and subject knowledge, having recently qualified at Edge Hill University and Manchester Metropolitan University.
Alex Reed is a modern foreign language graduate, who attained a first class honours at Edge Hill University, he will be teaching the children French and Spanish.
Claire Aldred and Nichola Woods will both be working in the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing, focusing on humanities, citizenship, PHSE and critical thinking. Nichola, who has previously taught in an Academy, said, ‘I am really excited about the Academy and think it is a fantastic opportunity for both staff and the children. We’re really looking forward to meeting all our new students and their families in September as we start on this exciting journey together.’
Natalie Hewitt is a scientist, who is qualified to teach across key stages 2 and 3. Aswell a teaching our year 7 children, Natalie will also be offering exciting, practical science workshops to learners from our partner primary schools.
