Engineering Energy STEM Project (Electric Mountain)

The students learned about the huge amount of effort it took to build the power plant and how the power plant works. Also during the trip, students were shown how Dinorwig deals with spikes in demand for electricity, which occur when people in Britain need lots of energy at the same time.

Students got the chance to work as young engineers by going into a Lego building workshop to investigate real world problems.  The trip was rounded off with the students having a great time trying out the new traverse climbing wall at the centre and were challenging one another to see who could complete the route along the wall.
