On Thursday 2nd March (fittingly, World Book Day) seventy-five Year 11 pupils attended a workshop with The Young Shakespeare Company. They were entertained and challenged by an interactive performance of Macbeth, which brought the GCSE text to life. Pupils were encouraged to direct the actors, comment on stagecraft, and some brave pupils even took on roles themselves - Tania Waheed made a great Fleance! The company commented that they were impressed by pupils' engagement and the perceptive questions they asked, whilst pupils left with an improved and enhanced appreciation for Shakespeare.
