International Mother Languages Day
This event will include an African Drumming workshop; language workshops led by our students; a ‘languages market’ at which students promote their own community language and a huge art project which will involve every student making a patch with an image on it which represents their language or culture for the MCA ‘culture quilt’. The aim of the event is not only to help create an identity for the Academy which incorporates all sections of the community which our students are from but also links in with the Academy’s international aspirations which aim to broaden students’ horizons beyond North Manchester.
