As part of the The School of Curious Stuff where Year 7s build their resilience, a group of MCA students visited the CBBC studios at MediaCityUK.
This was a truly special and unique opportunity for our students as many schools have to wait months for a tour and when they do, it is with other groups. However, our lucky few had a personalised tour around CBBC, CBeebies and Newsround with a producer.
As well as meeting some of the presenters of the channel, students took a sneaky peek behind the scenes, spoke to people working in the industry, analysed how scripts are written and even had a go at presenting themselves!
Overall it was an amazing experience for all involved and the students left with an idea of careers in the media industry, a new found skill in communicating with adults in different environments and a story to make their friends insanely jealous when they got home.
