Manchester Communication Academy is a GOOD school!

We are proud to share that our latest Ofsted report judged Manchester Communication Academy as a GOOD school in all areas, with an outstanding grade for the personal development and welfare of students.

‘Leaders have developed a culture where pupils’ welfare is at the heart of every decision. Leaders go above and beyond to ensure that pupils are well cared for both at school and at home.’

The report highlights many significant improvements that have resulted in progress being above the national average for two years.

Quite rightly, inspectors noted that there are strong relationships between staff and students, with staff having ‘high expectations’ and our pupils being ‘very proud of their school. They value their education and the support that they receive from teachers’ and as a result their ‘attitudes to learning are strong.’

High quality personal development and extra-curricular activities are recognised as key strengths that provide ‘valuable opportunities for enrichment’ whilst ‘broadening experience and knowledge’

They acknowledged that the academy is a ‘vibrant’ place that is the ‘hub of the community.’

Principal John Rowlands, said ‘I am delighted that the inspection team recognised the great work that goes on each day at MCA. Most pleasing, apart from highlighting the excellent progress that students make which is consistently better than the national average, was the praise received for the support given to children and the many varied opportunities they are provided with both within and beyond the curriculum that open them up to a world of possibility.’
