MCA Future Careers Event

On Wednesday 8th February MCA held a 'Future Careers' event for Year 9 & 10 students and parents. The event focused on STEM careers (Science Technology Engineering Maths) and a number of employers from these industries were present, including BT, Openreach, HMG paints, Barclays, Code Think, The Forces and Noise Orchestra. A number of further training providers were also present, including Mantra learning, Autodesk, Manchester College, Hopwood Hall College, University of Manchester and the North Manchester Initial Teacher Training partnership. The event was an opportunity for students and parents to learn more of the emerging careers in STEM and the various pathways from leaving school. This information was also available first hand via a number of 'STEM' Ambassadors from University of Salford who kindly gave up their time to attend.
